| Bio: |
I rode bicycles from an ealy age and always wanted to ride motorcycles, but didn't get the opportunity to start until 1992, when I was 27 years old and bought the '88 BMW K75S that I still own. I rode on the street exclusively for 8 years, and decided to check out track riding in 2000 - I was instantly hooked, and bought my '98 748 Ducati streetbike to help me get serious about sportbiking. I soon discovered that having a dual-purpose street and track bike wasn't working out, so I bought a second Ducati, a '99 748, as a dedicated track-only bike in 2001. I started racing with AFM and CCS in 2002 but only did a few races, and started again as a novice this year. After many, many schools, I can probably take the prize for best form, but am happy enough finishing mid-pack since my major enjoyment from the sport comes from riding well and riding smoothly. In everyday life I am a physicist at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. | |
